Scholarships

We are now accepting Scholarship Applications for 2026. Applications close Friday 24 January 2025.

Macquarie Anglican Grammar School offers a range of Scholarships to celebrate talented individuals. Macquarie Scholarships are intended for students who are high-achieving, well-rounded, self-motivated leaders who will make a significant positive contribution to the Macquarie community. Scholarships are awarded across Academic, Music, Sport and Access categories.

  • Academic - awarded to students who demonstrates exceptional results in the scholarship examination.
  • Music - awarded to students who demonstrates exceptional musical skill in the area of voice, instrument or music composition.
  • Sport - awarded to students who demonstrates exceptional skill in a particular sporting domain.
  • Access - awarded to students who would not otherwise be able to experience a Macquarie education. This scholarship is means-tested.

Scholarships provide partial remission in tuition fees for the duration of schooling at Macquarie Anglican Grammar School. Scholarships must be applied for 18 months prior to a student’s commencement into Year 7 or Year 10. 

Application Process

  1. Register online for the Academic Scholarship Examination (non-refundable ACER fee). (Please note: All scholarship applicants are required to sit this examination in person at Macquarie Anglican Grammar School).
  2. Complete the Scholarship Application Form.
  3. Access Scholarships - applicants must also complete the Macquarie Bursary Form.
  4. Music Scholarships - suitable applicants will be contacted after the Scholarship Examination to be invited for an audition. Auditions will be held on Saturday 5 April 2025. Applicants will need to present two contrasting pieces on their chosen instrument with accompaniment if appropriate, sight-reading and aural tests (according to the student’s skill level) will also be conducted. All equipment for recorded accompaniments must be provided by the applicant.
  5. Selected applicants (including Music Scholarship applicants) will be contacted to arrange an interview with the Principal or delegate at the beginning of Term 2.
  6. Scholarship applicants will receive notification of the outcome of their application after all interviews are completed.
