10 May 2024

We are delighted to announce that following a rigorous selection process, Mrs Alison Mitchell BMusEd, MEd, has been appointed as the next Principal of Macquarie Anglican Grammar School by the School Council and The Anglican Schools Corporation.

Mrs Mitchell has been the Deputy Principal at Macquarie Anglican Grammar School since July 2021, and during that period has also performed the role of Acting Principal during 2022. Further, she has performed the role of Acting Principal from the commencement of 2024 following the resignation of Mr Mansour. Prior to 2021, Mrs Mitchell held a number of leadership positions at the Scots School, Albury, where she was actively engaged in prioritising improved student learning outcomes.

“I am deeply humbled and honoured to have been appointed as the next Principal at Macquarie Anglican Grammar School. Serving the community in this capacity is a great privilege, and I am filled with excitement to collaborate with staff, students, and parents to continue enhancing our school's educational offering and experience. With trust in God guiding our path, I am confident that together, we will achieve remarkable growth and success.” – Mrs Alison Mitchell, Principal

Mrs Mitchell succeeds Mr Craig Mansour, who led the Macquarie Anglican Grammar School with strength, energy and a clear Christian faith for nine years, prior to his move to the role of Principal of The Riverina Anglican College in Wagga Wagga.
