Food Technology for Stage 5

During Term 2 our Food Technology for Stage 5 students are exploring Food Product Development (FPD).

As part of this unit, students are exploring the environmental, societal and technological impacts on the reasoning for FPD.

Our first practical of the term saw us preventing waste at school by using ingredients we already had in bulk, rather than seeking out a new recipe.

Our recipe was a chicken stroganoff bake. The students explored their capacity in knife skills, pan frying, boiling, simmering and baking. Some excellent examples of student capability were on show!
