Macquarie Agricultural Pathways Program
Thanks to our partnership with Australian Strategic Materials (ASM), the Macquarie Agricultural Pathways Program (MAPP) has come to fruition and is now in its third year. The Years 7 and 8 students involved are achieving academic outcomes across key learning areas through hands-on learning experiences, skilfully guided by Macquarie staff member Mr Knight, with assistance from ASM staff members Mr Christian Munge and Mr Fergus Job.
Each year, our Year 8 participants undertake a major project that explores an area of personal interest. The projects currently underway include:
Hugh E. – Researching ways to increase ewe ovulation rate
Bailey M. – Identifying and classifying plants at Toongi
Charlie F. – Calendar of operation for managing livestock on Toongi
Lachie C. – Researching ways to repair gully erosion on Toongi
Clancy J. – Constructing an inventory of Toongi machinery and recommending a replacement schedule.
