Year 6 Canberra Camp
Throughout Term 1, Year 6 students have been studying Democracy in Australia so it was only fitting that our excursion to Canberra occurred at the start of the school year!
Year 6 arrived at school early on Monday 27 February and departed for the nation’s capital unsure what to expect but also very excited for laser tag and Questacon.
Students visited many locations including the CSIRO, the National Capital Authority, the Australian War Memorial, Parliament House, Government House, the Botanic Gardens and others!
Questacon was an instant favourite while the National Museum natural disasters exhibit gave our students the opportunity to share their stories of floods, hail and bushfires with the tour guide.
We would like to commend Year 6 students for their outstanding behaviour on camp.
