Year 8 Art Exhibition Excursion

21 September 2024
Our Year 8 students visited the Western Plains Cultural Centre as part of their Visual Arts learning.
Year 8 students are studying how animals have been used in art as symbols, metaphors and as a way to communicate emotion in art. Jodi Cramond, a local Dubbo artist, has used several different media types to explore her relationship with birds, as well as the similarities she views regarding how society perceives beauty. Our students were able to see her artworks including ceramic sculptures, charcoal and pencils drawings and colourful paintings of birds.
